- Racoon Tunnel Limit is 1024 while StrongSwan can support up to 64K tunnels
- Racoon only supports IKEv1 while StorngSwan does both IKEv1 and IKEv2
- Racoon can not build multiple tunnels using the same IP while StrongSwan does
