Spoke to Transit connection

Hi,For connecting the Aviatrix spoke gateways (in VNET1) to the Aviatrix Transit gateways,(in VNET2), my understanding is, it utilizes the public IP address associated with each of these gateways to create the IPSec tunnels. Say this is an Azure setup.In this scenario, even if both the above VNETs are in the same region, there is a charge associated with egress traffic over the public IPs.  Is there a private peering option to avoid this charge? Normally, are these IPSec tunnels established over the public (Microsoft) network only (via the public IPs), also is there a requirement for setting up VNET peering between these two VNETs?

Whispers about Aviatrix Hybrid Cloud short course

hi. having just completed the 3-day ACE engineer cert (excellent by-the-way), and Giuseppe (Joe) made mention of an up-and-coming Aviatrix Hybrid-cloud 1-day training focused specifically on pulling together a hybrid-cloud model. Does mapped policy based tunnel create multiple SAs?

I have a mapped S2C tunnel, with one local and remote subnet. I added an additional remote subnet. Will Aviatrix gateway create 2 SAs for 2 remote CIDRs?

For Example:a customer attempting to rule out aviatrix gateways as the cause for intermittent connection timeouts between SAP applicationsWould the Aviatrix gateways have any configured TCP idle-timeouts or constraints with long-running TCP connection tests?

On-premise Internet Traffic Through Aviatrix Gateway

Hello Everyone,I am exploring options to route on-premises internet traffic through an Aviatrix NAT Gateway. Currently, we are using a third-party firewall deployed on AWS to handle NAT for our on-premises traffic.I would like to know if it is feasible to replace the existing third-party firewall with an Aviatrix NAT Gateway for this purpose. Any insights, recommendations, or experiences with such a setup would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!

Sandbox Starter Tool Setup

The link in the SBST documentation points to a marketplace subscription that is no longer available to opt-in to. The TF script failed due to this issue also. Will there be a fix for this soon?

Exam Reset

I took the old ACE Multicloud Network Associate Certification course back in December 2022.  I did not try to take the exam until July.  By then the curriculum had been updated and so had the exam.  I used one of my exam tries and did not pass because the exam was based off the new curriculum.  Can I get my exam reset so I have the 3?  I just completed the new curriculum and I am getting ready to take the exam. v/RJason Girbach

Error import KeyPair: InvalidKeyPair.Duplicate: The keypair already exists

I am taking the Iac lab.   When i start the SST first time, i was able to launch the controller successfully.  After three day,  when i start from scratch, after gave the controller license, i am getting below error.  I tested three times, same errorin the community also , i dont see this error, so posting. pls assist to complete my iac certfication=============================module.aviatrix_controller_aws.module.aviatrix_controller_build.aws_instance.aviatrix_controller: Still creating... Trouble with API Integration in Aviatrix

Hi all,I’ve been running Aviatrix in my multicloud environment for a bit now and recently started facing some frustrating issues with API integration. Specifically, some of the API endpoints are either not returning the expected data or are significantly delayed. I’ve gone through the documentation and other resources/articles https://docs.aviatrix.com/previous/documentation/latest/firewall-and-security/paloalto-api-setup.html Power Apps Tutorial and double-checked my configurations, but the problem persists.Has anyone else faced similar issues with API integrations? I’m curious if this is something related to how Aviatrix handles certain API calls or if I’m missing something on my end. Any troubleshooting tips, best practices, or even just pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!Looking forward to your insights. Thanks!

ACE - IaC Issue with Lab 1

I'm able to successfully run the Plan with no errors.  When I run the Apply, I keep getting 3 errors "AVXERR-TRANSIT-0067] Customer ID is not setup. abort" and the Aviatrix portions of the code are not created.  I can see resources in Azure and AWS, so I believe the error is authenticating to or permission on the Aviatrix Controller.  Appreciate any help/assistance!!

Sandbox Starter Tool - Docker/AWS Usage

Hi,  I have a questions re: clarification of the below statement: "This tool is packaged as a container image that could run locally on the Windows/Linux/MACOS laptop/server/VM or EC2 instances. The container code is available here" If the container image can run locally on a PC/Server does this mean there is no requiremnet to spin up the AWS resources? I'm trying to understand: 1  If the Sandbox tool need  both AWS and Docker? 2  Can the Sandbox tool only use AWS? 3  If Sandbox tool need both AWS and Docker, what does it use Docker for? Jeff

IaC Sandbox Launch Issues

I have been trying for a few days to get the Sandbox up and happy. Various issues have blocked me. I tore down everything from my AWS account down and started with a new email/AWS account. A slow step by step thru the Aviatrix Cloud Sandbox Starter - Spin up Cloud Networks in Minutes doc has not yielded success. In the Controller License field is used the license key from the email: gmail.com-abu--blah. Given that this document is four years old am I using the correct doc? Adding tools to the aviatrix server

I am being asked to add some 3rd party monitoring, logging, and security tools to aviatrix.  Is this allowed?  I didn't know how much of an appliance it was and if it would affect its operations.  Any advice?

IAC lab 1 Issue (day 0) --> unable to SSH ("Permission denied (publickey)")

Hello,I am trying to SSH into the bastien host at the end of Lab1. However I get a “Permission denied (publickey)” when trying to SSH into it.I have verified my Security Group (allowing port 22 from anywhere)I have tried to destroy and rebuild everything from scratch but I am still getting this error (cf. screenshot)Any idea what I am missing here? The keys are automatically (via Terraform) created if I am not mistaken hence I don’t have access to this key.Let me know,

I would like to know about how smart group distributed to the gateway. If we create a rule with smart group with specific vpc via copilot, what will be in the gateway. will it create all gateways or only on create on specific gateway by copilot ?

Aviatrix Alerts integration with ServiceNow for auto tickting

We need to send Aviatrix Alerts to ServiceNow tool. I found, CoPilot supports webhook alerts. Webhooks allow users to send notifications to third-party automation systems such as Slack. But we didn’t found reference of ServiceNow.
